A deck of cards is shuffled by a spectator and placed on the table. The spectator now cuts the deck into three piles and looks at the top card of any pile he chooses. He then assembles the three piles burying the chosen card. The deck is now placed in his hand palm up. The performer instructs him to extend his arm slightly. In this position, the performer taps lightly on the spectators elbow. Low and behold, part of the deck slides in a unit in one direction. The top pile of cards is removed and turned over to reveal that it is the chosen card. The deck can be borrowed if desired and the performer never has to touch the deck.
