The performer shows three cards. Two of these are spot cards of an identical color and one is an odd or different picture card in a different color. The odd card is in the center of the fan of three. The fan of cards is turned over and a spectator asked to find the odd card.

This card is placed face down on the table and the other two cards are shown and placed aside. When the odd picture is turned face up, it is found to have changed into an entirely different card, which may be blank or with a message on it. This message may be a humorous one, or a sales pitch, or even an advertisement for your act.
