The packet of cards is mixed by the spectator who selects one card while the magician's back is turned so that he can mentally divine the color of the card selected. after some by play and a few wrong guesses the magician gives up and as he turns towards the audience he is seen wearing a clown nose. The nose matches the color of the selected card.
