A card is chosen. A girl is asked to touch the selected card with her hand. The card is placed back and really lost in the deck. The magician finds that card because it is warmer than the other cards because of the transfer of heat. 

The whole deck changes to black (or red) face cards and the only red (or black) face is the chosen. Smell the card saying "The Nose Knows" The selected card is the only card whose back changes from the regular pattern to the flower pattern shown above.
