Here is a great utility prop for the Master of Ceremonies, Close-up Magician, or Comedian to use at almost any time in their performance. Easily carried in the pocket ready at any time.  Bursts into flames when opened.

Suggest that a good quality of commercial lighter fluid be used as they are almost smokeless. Saturate the wick carefully and not too much. Try not to soak the book cover. Close the book and place in pocket. The act of closing the cover and keeping the book in your pocket will keep the wick from drying out quickly. Experimenting will tell you how much ahead of time that the book can be set.

During the actual performance do not keep the book burning long as the wick will burn itself up if you allow the lighter fluid to burn off completely.
