House of Hades is great for the lay public and equally super for magicians. It will titillate your spectator's humor buds. This is a quickie, but don't let the ease of operation fool you into passing it by. This has been audience tested for years and the results are always hilarious (or at least sometime always).

The Magician asks for someone to call out any of the four suits of a deck of cards: Clubs, Hearts, Diamonds, or Spades. The King, Queen and Jack of his desired suit is removed from the deck. Showing these court cards, the performer explains that the Jing represents the Devil; the Queen is the Mother Devil and the Jack is the Little Devil. The three cards representing the Devil Family are gathered up, replaced back in the pack at various places and finally the deck is shuffled. When the cards are thoroughly mixed the performer takes the top three cards and places them face down on the table, without showing them or even looking at them. A Spectator is asked to select any one of the three, the remaining two being placed back into the deck. The FIRST CLIMAX apparently follows. The spectator is now asked, "Which one of the Devils would you like to see  The Father, The Mother or the Little Devil?" The magician stresses the fat that the card was chosen BEFORE the spectator named the member of the Devil family that he wished to see. Here is surely real magic in the making. Now for the real CLIMAX! The spectator having chosen who he wishes to see is asked to turn over the card...There in bold letters is how he can see the member of the Devil family that he chose.
